David Bowie é premiado pelo Grammy por 'Blackstar'

Premiação anunciou alguns vencedores antes do evento televisionado

A cerimônia do Grammy Awards será realizada na noite neste domingo, 12, em Los Angeles. Mas antes mesmo do início da festa televisionada, alguns prêmios já estão sendo anunciados pela National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences dos Estados Unidos.

O cantor David Bowie, falecido no ano passado, foi premiado postumamente pelo Grammy com quatro prêmios até o momento, todos pelo álbum Blackstar, seu 25º e último álbum da carreira, lançado na véspera da sua morte, em janeiro de 2015. 

David Bowie faturou os prêmios de melhor álbum de música alternativa por Blackstar,melhor performance de rock, pela música título do trabalho, e ainda os prêmios compartilhados de melhor pacote de gravação e melhor produção de álbum não-clássico. O cantor ainda concorre em melhor música de rock também pela faixa Blackstar

Ao longo da carreira, Bowie concorreu ao Grammy 12 vezes e havia vencido apenas uma, em 1984 pelo vídeo de Jazzin' for Blue Jean. Na cerimônia do ano passado, pouco após sua morte, o britânico foi homenageado por Lady Gaga e Nile Rodgers no palco da premiação. 

Outros prêmios anunciados

Antes da cerimônia televisionada do Grammy, são anunciados os vencedores de 75 das 84 categorias da premiação.Além de Bowie, Adele e Beyoncé foram alguns dos artistas que já conquistaram troféus. 

A britânica Adele venceu nas categorias de melhor álbum pop vocal por 25 e por melhor performance pop pela música Hello. Já Beyoncé faturou o prêmio de melhor vídeo musical por Formation, enquanto Drake conquistou as categorias de melhor música de rap e melhor performance de rap cantado pela música Hotline Bling

Os brasileiros Caetano Veloso e Gilberto Gil concorriam na categoria de melhor álbum de música global, por Dois Amigos, Um Século De Música: Multishow Live, mas perderam para Sing Me Home, de Yo-Yo Ma & The Silk Road Ensemble.

A cerimônia do Grammy de 2017 começa às 23h, pelo horário de Brasília, deste domingo, 12, com apresentação de James Corden. O canal pago TNT transmite a premiação no Brasil.
